History

Founded in 2011 by local Houstonians Michael de la Mora and Rick Bailey, Cotton Roofing has always taken a different approach to insurance loss. De la Mora had a vision for Cotton Roofing after he worked on the other side of the insurance loss process for a major insurance carrier. He, along with Rick Bailey, who met at Texas A&M (WHOOP!), thought they could make a difference on the construction side of things. Rick, who previously worked as a project manager for a commercial real estate firm, leveraged his network in Houston to jumpstart Cotton Roofing. 

Two large hailstorms, one in Sunnyvale, TX and one in Jackson, MS, helped put Cotton Roofing on the map in 2012. Since then Cotton Roofing has been able to grow and secure a consistent spot as a Top 100 Roofing Contractor. In 2021, Cotton Roofing strengthened its position in the restoration industry by becoming a part of the Cotton Companies. Partnering with Cotton has allowed us to scale the company and added brand recognition. We are grateful and honored to be a part of the Cotton team.
