BEFORE YOUR REPLACEMENT
After you sign your roof replacement contract and the scope is approved, there will be a pre-production meeting. Details of your roof that is being installed will be reviewed and confirmed. During this time, you will learn how long the replacement process should take and when the replacement will likely begin. We will also go over any additional details such as, where materials should be dropped on the property, permits that need to be acquired, and any safety requirements that are specific to the building.
Once all materials have been ordered and a preferred date has been selected for the crew to begin, the materials will start arriving on site a day or two before.
Your superintendent and crew will also arrive on site a day or so after the materials are dropped and will begin to prepare the original roof for replacement. Depending on how large your roof is will determine the size of the crew that is assigned to your job. They will work within the guidelines of OSHA while working diligently and efficiently to complete your project in a timely manner.
DURING YOUR COMMERCIAL ROOF REPLACEMENT
The superintendent on your job will send you progress reports daily detailing how far along the project is and will be on-site to answer any questions that you may have.
While different roof systems require different replacement methods, Stellar always works to keep business interruption to a minimum. Retrofit roofs do not need to be removed, whereas metal roof replacements will require sections of your roof to be open when removing and replacing the panels. Due to the different methods each system requires the waste associated with the replacement will vary. Rest assured that Stellar handles all the waste disposal.
During the replacement, if you decide that you would like to alter anything, you can submit a change request. At Stellar we strive to keep the number of change orders to a minimum as they could potentially cause delays. The weather could also impact your roofing project, but should there be bad weather, your superintendent will communicate the next scheduled workday.
AFTER YOUR PROJECT IS FINISHED
Once your roof is completely replaced, our production team will schedule a final walk-through. Here we will make sure that there are no areas that need additional attention and that the roof is properly sealed. Until both parties agree that there are no outstanding items the job will not be considered completed. Once that paper is signed then you can begin to enjoy all the benefits of your new roof!
